John Bellisario, the Owner and Principal Architect at SP-ARC, brings over 16 years of experience in architecture and development. A magna cum laude graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, John began his career at RRC Architects, where he quickly advanced to the role of Project Designer, leading significant education and civic projects. He holds both a B.Arch and an MS in Construction Management, along with Architecture licenses in AZ, CA, and HI, and a LEED AP certification, embodying his dedication to the master builder philosophy in architecture.
John's diverse portfolio spans residential, civic, educational, and commercial projects, reflecting his comprehensive approach to design and his commitment to making a meaningful impact on the built environment. His leadership at SP-ARC is characterized by his dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, where creativity and excellence are the norms. CODY LORANCE
PROJECT MANAGER
Cody Lorance brings 10 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry, blending technical expertise with hands-on project management. He holds an Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Design/Architectural Drafting from Westwood College, where he graduated on the President’s List of Excellence, and has completed technical training through the Cuesta College CAD Certification program in San Luis Obispo.
Cody's career has seen him work with both structural engineering and architecture firms, contributing to high-end custom residential and commercial projects. His diverse experience with traditional design and design-build companies has shaped his approach, which emphasizes financial feasibility without compromising design integrity. As a project manager at SP-ARC, Cody plays a crucial role in supporting the team throughout the design and permitting process, ensuring that each project is executed with precision and care.

EMILY FALK
PROJECT DESIGNER
Emily, a project designer at SP-ARC, is a dedicated professional with a passion for creating design solutions that harmonize aesthetic and functional needs while aligning with project goals and budgets. A graduate of Cal Poly, Emily is currently studying for her architecture license, further enhancing her expertise.
Since joining SP-ARC, Emily has played a key role in a variety of projects, including multi-family residential, mixed-use, and custom residential developments. She brings experience across all phases of design, from schematic design to construction administration. Emily excels in collaborative environments, working closely with clients, colleagues, and consultants to ensure successful project outcomes. Her technical proficiency in various software programs, coupled with her ability to translate complex technical concepts for nontechnical stakeholders, has been vital to the success of her projects.

Emily Mammenga brings over a decade of architectural experience, having embarked on her career shortly after graduating in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science degree and honors from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She spent several years honing her skills under the mentorship of an established architect before launching her own business, where she specialized in both architecture and interior design. In 2022, she joined her architectural family at SP-ARC, where her passion for sustainable architecture truly shines.
Emily is deeply committed to creating designs that not only meet the immediate needs of her clients but also anticipate future accessibility requirements, ensuring that spaces can be easily modified for ADA compliance. Her work is characterized by a thoughtful integration of green building materials and sustainable design principles, reflecting her ongoing interest in achieving LEED accreditation once again. With a focus on blending functionality, nature, and beauty, Emily is dedicated to crafting environments that enhance the lives of those who inhabit them.

ALONSO CARILLO

Alonso is a versatile and innovative Architectural Designer with experience in both residential and commercial architecture, including hospitality and sustainable construction projects. At SP-ARC, he focuses on production work during the Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) phases, collaborating closely with team members to create detailed drawings and specifications that align with project goals. His strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with engineers and consultants enable him to navigate complex design challenges, ensuring that projects meet both design and construction requirements.
Passionate about socio-eco-centric public spaces and age-friendly developments, Alonso has a keen interest in affordable housing policies and their application in urban planning. He is dedicated to creating innovative, transit-oriented, and sustainable communities that address the growing housing crisis while promoting environmental sustainability and equitable access to resources.
